only built 4 cuban linx 2

Friday, July 31st, 2009

I’ve heard a few mixtapes from Raekwon the past year and the quality has been varying. On some tracks Rae seems hungry and spits with energy and on others his presence on the mic is lackluster, coming through with a monotonous tone and subpar lyrics. So I never know which Rae I’m gonna get whenever I check a new track.

I have high anticipations for this album so I hope they’re fulfilled when it’s released. Rae’s verse is actually on point on this track, he’s gotta have that energy on the rest of the LP.

the meridian crew incident

The Meridian Crew is known in the grime scene for their classic sets on various pirate radio stations over the past few years, but to most in the UK this 2005 shooting incident is what the crew is known for. You’ll spot cameos from grime artists Skepta, Bossman, President T, and Big H.
