“I like to think of photographing as a two-way act of respect. Respect for the medium, by letting it do what it does best, describe. And respect for the subject, by describing as it is. A photograph must be responsible to both.”
RIP Esco, from across the Atlantic. More info about the incident at the Telegraph and The Sun. Here’s the tribute show Logan Sama aired tonight. This’ll be in my rotation for a while, easily one of the best MCs to bless the scene.
And one of my favorite tracks from Escobar …
Esco – 96 Bars of Revenge

The undesirable scaffolding that obstructed BBlessing’s storefront is finally gone and to commemmorate the event they’re having a 30% sale on spring collections this weekend. I’d love to be in attendance on Saturday for the drinks, music, and to check out this Ervell jacket but as far as I know, I won’t be able to make it.

MLProject has put together a small fanzine with art work from a variety of people associated with Superfuture. A few of my photos are featured in the zine. You can pre order a copy for $8 here. According to a recent update, there’s about 40 copies left for sale.
Be sure to check it out, and hopefully a volume 2 will be in the works down the line.

Wish they still made posters as simple as this. Good ads, classic music.

Desire, a Montreal based project fronted by singer Megan Louise is the newest addition to the disco factory Italians Do It Better imprint. The group is also produced by Johnny Jewel who never ceases to impress. Comparable to previous Glass Candy and Chromatics releases, but with more of an upbeat vibe and occasional French vocals.

A new mixtape of Mobb Deep tracks that were left off previous albums has recently surfaced, but I haven’t been able to find reliable information in regards to what year(s) the tracks were originally recorded. It’s an interesting mix of the old gritty tunes and more polished records that came later in their career. Think I’ll be bumping the following track a lot in the summer …
Mobb Deep – What Goes On
